Bo Sykes anchors Good Morning Charlottesville from 4:30-7 a.m. on CBS19 and 7-9 a.m. on FOX Virginia. He also anchors CBS19 News at Noon and serves as Morning Executive Producer.

Bo joined the CBS19 news team in June 2005 and currently anchors Good Morning Charlottesville and CBS19 News at Noon.

In August 2005, Bo helped launch Good Morning Charlottesville and has been a part of the show ever since.

Before stepping in front of the camera in Charlottesville, Bo spent more than two years working behind the scenes as an assignment editor at WFTV-TV in Orlando, Fla.

A Florida native, Bo quickly developed an interest in writing and telling stories. He got his start in broadcasting while still in middle school. Bo anchored and reported through his senior year of college, including a brief stint as weatherman.

Bo graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While there, he anchored and reported for a weekly show called UCF Knightly News.

The 2004 hurricane season will always be a memorable time for Bo. With four hurricanes devastating the state, he spent several days and nights at the station in Orlando and even slept on the floor in a cubicle at the station during the middle of one of the storms.

Bo loves talking to viewers and telling their stories. In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing with family and friends, skiing, kayaking and following our area’s current events.
