CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Friends, family and coworkers of gathered at Azalea Park on Saturday afternoon to remember Jermaine "Manky" Hussein Jackson.

Hussein passed away on May 12 due to kidney disease.

His father, Irn Pryor, said his son had an infectious energy that attracted people to him.

"My son was very charismatic, very happy person, a very good father. To me wasn't only a son to me, he was my best friend. When you see one, you see the other. We were like two peas in a pod, we were always hanging out together," said Pryor.

Hussein was described as a loving father.

"His relationship with his kids was off the hook, he's always spoiling them," said Pryor. "When he brings them around me, I do the same thing, because I knew that is what he wanted to do, he just spoils them a lot. He had great love for his kids."

He said he was pleased to see so many people at the gathering to say their last goodbyes and that he will always be loved.

"I'm rejoiced that he had so many friends, lot of friends that I didn't know about," he said. "It shows how close they were, they came to say their last goodbyes. I love him, I love you no matter where you at right now, I love you and I'm always going to love you, you're always going to have a place in my heart."
