VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- In their first game at Harbor Park since 2016 the Cavaliers fell to ODU 7-4. Virginia plated three in the top of the 9th, including two two out RBIs but it wasn't enough to take the third game of the season against the monarchs.

Joe Savino was credited the loss. It was a tough start for the right hander who's still recovering from an earlier injury. Savino let across two runs to open action and was replaced by Freddy Beruvides Jr to start the second inning. Beruvides Jr let up one run in the second but quickly regained his composure in the third inning and retired the first three batters of the frame.

The Cavaliers scratched a run across in the top of the third off a Ethan Anderson Sac fly. Anderson's 25th RBI of the season was overshadowed by three runs by ODU in the following innings though as they pulled ahead 7-1.

In classic UVA fashion Virginia seemed poised for another comeback as they plated three runs in the top of the 9th. An RBI ground out by Antonio Perrotta, and a pair of two out RBI singles from Eric Becker and Griff O'Ferrell cut the deficit to just three but they were unable to finish the job.

Virginia will try to rebound against George Mason Wednesday at 6pm at the Dish.
