CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- There will be more basketball to play for former Virginia star forward Camryn Taylor.

Minnesota Lynx announced Tuesday that Taylor has agreed to a training camp deal with the team. She becomes the first Cavalier to sign with a WNBA team since Jocelyn Willoughby was drafted 10th overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft.

Taylor will compete in the team's training camp, which begins on April 28th, in hopes of earning a spot on the regular season roster.

Last season, Taylor averaged 14.8 points per game, the best among any single season of her collegiate career. She also led the team in rebounding and double-doubles. Of her five-20 point performances last season, her best performance of the season came when she scored a season-high 26 points in the team's overtime victory over Missouri.

In 2022-23, she was named a Second Team All-ACC selection after starting all 30 games and leading the team in both scoring (13.9) and rebounding (6.3).

Taylor transferred to Virginia in 2021 after beginning her collegiate career at Marquette where she played for two seasons.
