Charlottesville, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out in an inpatient hospital room at UVA Medical center early Saturday. 

According to a statement from UVA Health, the fire broke out at approximately 11:45 a.m. in an inpatient room at the Medical Intensive Care Unit inside UVA Health University Medical Center.

One patient and one visitor are being evaluated for injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Charlottesville Fire Department and UVA Health University Medical Center is operating normally.
