CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Despite a sour end to the regular season, the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament committee still felt the Cavaliers had done enough to earn a Top 8 seed.

Virginia earned the No. 6 seed in this year's tournament and will host Saint Joseph's on Saturday at noon.

The Cavaliers ended the regular season dropping their final four games of the season, their longest losing streak since the 2013 season.

Sant Joseph's earned their place in this year's tournament after taking down Richmond in the Atlantic 10 Championship game and will come into Saturday's matchup on a nation's leading, 12-game winning streak.

The winner Saturday will take on the winner of three-seeded Johns Hopkins and Lehigh on May 19.
