UPDATE: The Charlottesville Police Department reports Jazmin Shifflett has been safely located in Buckingham County.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing juvenile.

Jazmin Shifflett was reported missing and last seen on the 100 block of Seventh Street NE in Charlottesville on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Shifflett is a type-1 diabetic and may be in need of her medication.
