Rarione Maniece is a morning anchor on Good Morning Charlottesville. She joined CBS19 as a producer in January 2017. She comes to Charlottesville from Richmond, VA where she was a News Content Specialist at NBC12.
Rarione recently obtained a Master of Science in multimedia journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also a graduate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, where she earned her undergraduate degree in communications and a minor in information technology systems.
During her time in Norfolk she worked and interned at NewsChannel 3 as a Production Assistant. She’s had the opportunity to cover topics such as the General Assembly, a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House and an emergency hearing on Ebola on Capitol Hill. Her passion for journalism was greatly influenced by her experiences as a resident of New Orleans, LA, during Hurricane Katrina. In addition, she is a pop culture junkie with a healthy obsession for social media and Beyoncé.
Although New Orleans has her heart, she is happy to live alongside the Blue Ridge Mountains and looks forward to proving Charlottesville with today’s top headlines.
