CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Saturday's inaugural VISFL championship will now be decided on a neutral field.
The VISFL title game between crosstown rivals St. Anne's-Belfield and Covenant will be played on the turf field at Albemarle High School at 2 p.m. Saturday. The winner will be crowned first-ever champion of the VISFL, the eight-man football league founded earlier this year.
Covenant and STAB are the top two seeds in the VISFL playoff bracket. Both teams rolled through Tuesday's semifinals to advance to Saturday's championship. The unbeaten Eagles shut out Brunswick Academy 66-0 on the turf at AHS, while the Saints won 49-19 at home against Virginia Episcopal.
Saturday's game will be the third meeting between Covenant and STAB this season. The Eagles won 62-20 at STAB to open the season in late August, then beat the Saints 62-13 at Covenant last month.
