LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Beginning next week, Louisa County drivers will need to use a detour around a bridge project for about two months.
The Virginia Department of Transportation says it will begin work to rehabilitate a bridge on Ellisville Drive on June 17.
The bridge crosses White Creek, north of the town of Louisa.
According to VDOT, the existing bridge was built in 1948 and has a ten-ton weight restriction, but once the work is finished, the bridge will be open to all legal weight loads.
Signs will guide drivers on a detour to get around the closure.
The project is expected to wrap up in August.
