CAAR: Quarterly sales highest since 2006

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (NEWSPLEX) -- A new report from the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors shows more growth in the local housing market.

The 1,124 homes sold in the second quarter in Greater Charlottesville marked a 17.2-percent increase from last year, the highest quarterly total since 2006.

The median sales price increase 4.7 percent, now averaging $295,000.

There are currently 1,836 homes for sale in the Charlottesville area.
