CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (NEWSPLEX) -- The Charlottesville Police Department says it is investigating a burglary that happened between 1 and 2 a.m. at a home on North Berkshire Road.

Police say the victim of the burglary told them someone forced their way into the home and took several household items.

Police did not specify which items were taken, nor did they have suspect information.

This is the latest in a string of burglaries that have happened in Charlottesville over the last three days.

On Friday, police got two reports of burglaries.

The first was at a construction site on University Avenue where tools were taken from a locked tool box.

The second was on Page Street where a victim says their house was broken in to and money was stolen.

Police are investigating all three burglaries but did not indicate that the burglaries are related.
