CROZET, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Crozet Trolley kicked off its first beer tour for St. Patrick's Day weekend on Saturday afternoon.
People gathered inside the trolley to go to three different breweries for an unforgettable experience.
"On the St. Patty's tour, we're going to go to Starr Hill Brewery in Crozet and then follow up with Pro Re Nata," said Shawn Bird, one of the owners of the Crozet Trolley. "Then we're going to finish it off at Blue Mountain Brewery."
Shawn and Atieno Bird have been running the trolley for a few months for other special occasions.
They also set up a Polar Express experience for kids during the winter.
However, they said the upcoming season gives them a new opportunity to use the trolley.
"We've done a few tours, but we're really kicking off our primary season of doing beer and wine tours," said Shawn. "We've partnered with a lot of great people, who have been more established than we are, but we wanted to find a fun and unique way to go between the vineyards and breweries. Everyone loves a trolley."
Atieno also hopes the trolley tours can provide people a glimpse into the Crozet community.
"It's about sharing Crozet with visitors," she said. "We love it here. We think the combination of natural beauty and the agritourism products that people come here to enjoy."
The Crozet Trolley will host another St. Patty's Tour on Sunday.
