CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The victim of a brutal Aug. 12 beating was in court Thursday on a bond violation.
Deandre Harris is out on bond for an assault charge against him, also from Aug. 12.
On Jan. 10, he was arrested during a traffic stop in Southampton County and charged with two misdemeanor weapon charges for allegedly having a loaded AR-15 rifle concealed on the rear seat.
The Southampton County Sheriff's Office said Harris also had a small quantity of marijuana, for which he was not charged.
In Charlottesville General District Court on Thursday, Judge Bob Downer amended the conditions of Harris' bond to require supervision by Offender Aid Restoration. Harris, 20, is also prohibited from using drugs or alcohol.
Harris is due back in court on March 16.
