CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The rain did not stop people from coming out to the first Friday's After Five of the season. The new roof on the Sprint Pavilion provided a little cover from the weather.
There were local beers and wines for people to enjoy from places like Star Hill Brewery and Blenheim Vineyards.
People came to enjoy music from the band Red and the Romantics and celebrate the end of the week. Morna Muccia and her husband Rich said coming out rain or shine is all about perspective.
"See, we're from New Jersey and you can't sit outside in early April or March," said Morna. "So this is wonderful. The weather has been so terrific, it has just been unbelievable."
Fridays after Five will continue every Friday the rest of spring and all summer through the first Friday of September.
