Missing Fluvanna County man found in Louisa County

BREMO, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- UPDATE: The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office says a missing man was located Wednesday around 10:30 a.m. in Louisa County.

The sheriff's office says Curtis Armstrong was located at a gas station in Zion Crossroads by citizens who recognized him from social media and news posts.

He was disoriented but not harmed in any other way.


The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office continues to search for a missing man who was last seen in the new Canton area of Buckingham County.

Eighty-three-year-old Curtis James Armstrong was last seen Tuesday afternoon driving a red Chevy pickup with Virginia tags PL9998.

The sheriff's office says he left his home in the Bremo area.

According to an updated release, Armstrong was last seen around 4:30 p.m. at the Central Virginia Community Health Center in New Canton.

The sheriff's office reports this is not the first time Armstong has become lost. He got lost earlier this year and was found in Nottoway County.

Armstrong is a small-statured black man who is bald and has a mustache.

His family is concerned about him due to his age and cognitive issues.
