CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The fourth annual Brewers Ball took place at the IX Art Park on Thursday night, raising thousands of dollars for cystic fibrosis.

Thirteen honorees, comprised of young professionals and community leaders, have spent the past few months raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation leading up to the event.

It all culminated with the Brewers Ball, which featured a silent auction. Cecil Banks, the Brewers Ball planning committee chair, said the event highlighted some of the best of everything Charlottesville has to offer.

"We're showcasing the best caterers, restaurants, the best breweries, the best wines," said Banks. "So this really is a showcase of Charlottesville but it's also for a good cause."

Before the event, the honorees had raised nearly $60,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Banks said he was confident they can surpass their goal of $80,000 by the end of the night.
