CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Piedmont Virginia Community College is bringing back Free Movie Friday starting Jan. 18 as part of the college’s 2018-2019 Fine Arts and Performance Season.

The free monthly series was supposed to return with an evening showing of the critically acclaimed musical and romantic drama “A Star is Born” featuring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

However, that screening was canceled and Spike Lee's "BlacKkKlansman" will be shown instead.

The movie will be shown at 7:30 p.m. and 500 free tickets will be distributed, beginning at 6 p.m.

Free Movie Fridays take place in the V. Earl Dickinson Building on PVCC’s Main Campus in Charlottesville. Free parking is available and the facility is wheelchair accessible.

The movie series is held monthly during the fall and spring semesters.
