CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Several local business owners showcased their best jewelry, crafts, and flowers as part of the Galentine's Day pop-up market at Old Metropolitan Hall on Saturday.
The event featured a photo booth, craft table, and unique gifts to help women in the city celebrate the holiday twist to Valentine's Day.
Amy Puml, a vendor and one of the organizers for the event, said this is the fifth year they've hosted the market to help women celebrate friendship and love.
"It's really intended to be something for people, whether they're in a relationship or not," said Puml. "It's about celebrating friendships. We really wanted to do that and celebrate how many amazing women there are making things and running their own business."
A portion of the vendor fees will be donated to the Women's Initiative, an organization dedicated to providing women with effective counseling and mental health resources.
