AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Incumbent state Senator Emmett Hanger says he is going to seek another term in office.

The Augusta County native has held the seat for the 24th Senate District since 1995.

According to a release, he will spend the next six weeks leading up to the primary on June 11 talking about what he has accomplished in office, his areas of future focus and his positions on various issues.
