Huffstetler running again for seat in Congress

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Roger Dean Huffstetler is running for a seat in Congress.

The Marine veteran and entrepreneur has launched a campaign for the Fifth District of Virginia seat, which is currently held by Republican Denver Riggleman of Nelson County.

Huffstetler was one of several Democrats who also ran in 2018, but Leslie Cockburn was selected by a caucus.

According to his announcement, he was the first person in his family to graduate from college and then enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Huffstetler lives in Charlottesville with his family.

The U.S. House of Representatives seat will be part of the 2020 election cycle.
