CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The 97th annual summer concert series by a local band has been funded.

The Charlottesville Municipal Band says it received support from the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Bama Works Fund of the Dave Matthews Band at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.

The nonprofit, which was founded in 1922, puts on free concerts every summer at the Paramount Theater on the Downtown Mall.

The band's next performance is coming up on July 2 and will feature favorite pieces from Holly wood and Broadway.

And on July 30, there will be a new concert, Jazz at the Paramount.
