ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Paving work along westbound Interstate 64 in Albemarle County may cause delays for drivers during the nighttime hours for the next couple of weeks.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says the work began Sunday night with milling and paving between the Rivanna River bridge and the bridge over Old Lynchburg Road.

There will be nightly westbound lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Aug. 16.

VDOT says the work should be completed by then, but it may be extended if weather causes any delays.
