ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Virginia Department of Transportation is reminding area drivers about a new traffic pattern that will be put in place near Albemarle High School this week.

On Tuesday night, VDOT crews will be updating pavement markings on Lambs Road.

Whitewood Road has also been milled and will be resurfaced with updated pavement markings as weather permits.

No lane changes are currently planned on Hydraulic Road, which passes immediately in front of the high school.

On Wednesday morning, an upgraded traffic signal, which includes a flashing yellow left turn arrow, will be activated.

Drivers in the area should expect brief delays during the work.
