ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Part of an Albemarle County road that has been closed for months will reopen next week.

The northbound lane of Timberwood Parkway has been closed for the past 11 months during the construction of the Hollymead Dam Spillway project.

The work was to protect the downward slope of the dam in order to meet current Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation regulations.

The road is expected to reopen on Tuesday.
