Rockn' to Lockn' announces semi-finalists

NELSON COUNTY, Va. (NEWSPLEX) -- Twelve bands will compete in live playoffs for a performance slot at the upcoming 2017 Lockn' Festival.

The bands have been slip up into three groups that will perform at different clubs across the Commonwealth.

The first performance will take place April 14 at The Broadberry in Richmond, where Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos, The Atkinsons, Big Mama Shakes and Mighty Joshua will take the stage.

Next, on April 21 at The Jefferson in Charlottesville, Sun Dried Opossum, Kendall Street Company, Adar and the Will Overman Band will all play.

The third set will take place April 28 at The State Theatre in Falls Church, featuring Galaxy Dynamite, Devil's Workshop Big Band, FeelFree and Virginia Man.

Live performance and in-person fan voting will then whittle the competition down to six bands that will all perform on June 17 at Community Day at Infinity Downs Farm.

On that day, the bands will perform in front of a live crowd with in-person voting to select the three that will win a performance spot at Lockn' and a $500 performance fee.

The Lockn' Festival will take place Aug. 24 though 27.
