Ronald McDonald House gets big check from April fundraiser

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (NEWSPLEX) -- Red Shoe Cville presented a $10,000 check to the Ronald McDonald House on Thursday.

The money from the Outback Lodge Reunion fundraiser that was held in April at the Fry Spring Beach Club.

It was organized by the Give Back Festivals organization and the Friends of the Outback Lodge.

"Red Shoe Cville is excited to partner with local philanthropic organizations like the Give Back Festivals to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. This group did an amazing job of putting together a fundraiser that would attract so many local people coming together for a great cause. This kind of donation is extremely important to accomplishing the mission of Red Shoe Cville and the families who are staying at the House," said Cheryl Duncan, President of Red Shoe Charlottesville.

The fundraiser showcased several Charlottesville musicians, and more than 400 people attended.
