Tom Tom, Wild Virginia team up to preview film festival

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Tom Tom Summit and Festival is coming up next week, and for the first time, it is partnering with Wild Virginia to preview an upcoming film festival.

The sneak peek screening of the Wild and Scenic Film Festival will take place April 11 at the Vinegar Hill Theater.

The film festival will then take place in Staunton and Charlottesville on April 28, May 1 and May 2.

It will feature award-winning films highlighting the pressures on the planet and ways to help make the world a better place.

The preview will include the films "Biomimicry" on creating a long-term, sustainable world, "The Art of Fog Catching" on how people in the Sahara Desert are adapting to the effects of drought and climate change, and "March of the Newts" on how people can help protect one of the funkiest creatures of the forest.

Tickets for this event are $8 and available now at the Tom Tom Summit and Festival site in the Related Links box.
