Toscano pushing for gun control measures

RICHMOND, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Delegate David Toscano is trying to rally members of the General Assembly to pass some gun control measures before the session ends later this month.

On Thursday, he spoke on the house floor, calling for a ban on bump stocks and to take guns away from people who pose a risk to themselves or others.

Another bill would ban the sales of assault weapons to anyone under the age of 21.

Earlier this year, the General Assembly voted down Toscano's bill that would have allowed localities to ban guns at special events.
