BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Tree felling for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline has begun in parts of Buckingham County.

Aaron Ruby, a spokesperson for Dominion Energy, confirmed crews are working in areas where they have received approval from the landowner.
The Atlantic Coast Pipeline received the approval to begin tree felling from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Friday, but only areas where agreements have been reached with landowners.
The proposed pipeline would run nearly 600 miles from West Virginia to North Carolina, including Nelson and Buckingham counties.
