Two juveniles arrested for shooting in Albemarle County

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Albemarle County Police Department has charged two juveniles in connection with a shooting on Commonwealth Drive on April 29.

The names of the juveniles are not being released. Police say they turned themselves into police on Friday and are currently being held at the Blue Ridge Detention Center.

One of them, age 17, faces charges of armed burglary and conspiracy to commit armed burglary.

The other suspect, also 17, is charged with armed burglary, malicious wounding, and conspiracy to commit armed burglary.

When officers arrived on the scene, there were two victims who were both transported to the hospital. One victim had a gunshot wound while the other had some kind of assault wounds. Both were non-life threatening.

Last week, 27-year-old Terrence Winston of Waynesboro was arrested in connection with the same incident.

Winston has been charged with burglary with the intent to commit armed robbery, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He is currently being held at the Middle River Regional Jail without bond.
