CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (NEWSPLEX) -- Two local realtors have been recognized for being in the field for decades.

Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS President Donna Patton announced Tuesday that Patricia Widhalm and Keith Knight, both of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate III - North, were given National Association of REALTORS Emeritus status.

That means they have held membership in NAR for a cumulative period of 40 years.

"It is truly a remarkable accomplishment to achieve 40 years of NAR membership," said Patton. "These two members have brought a valuable and lasting contribution to the real estate profession and to the community in which they practice."

Widhalm and Knight were both recognized at a Dec. 1 meeting held at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business with a certificate, an official letter signed by NAR President Tom Salomone and a gold lapel pin.
