UVA fans keeping their heads up for the Wahoos

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- University of Virginia fans at the Paramount Theater's watch party were bummed the Hoos lost against Florida State in the ACC Tournament Friday night, but did not give up hope on their Hoos.

Fans went through a lot of ups and downs watching the game on the big screen. At the end of the game, they could not deny that Florida State played a good game.

"Florida State played a perfect game," said James Watson.

"I think we played an okay game, I think Florida State played a great game," said Shannon Connors.

Even so, fans said they are still proud of the Wahoos.

"Florida State, they played a very complete game and that's what it takes to beat UVA, I don't think any less of UVA than what I did," said Tim Nissley.

Fans believe this game was just a hiccup against the potential UVA has in the NCAA tournament.

"They've had a really good season and this loss might just prepare them overall for the tournament," said Connors.

"Future's bright," said Watson. "Statistically, we have a good chance at doing well."

"We're vulnerable if the other teams play super duper, but I think they still have a chance," said Nissley.

Fans left the theater still cheering and with their heads held high.

"Just because we lost does not mean it's over," Watson said as fans cheered around him. "That's my mindset. Go Hoos, Baby! Does not mean it's over."

The Paramount Theater will host future watch parties for the Hoos during the NCAA Tournament.
