UVA student competes in entrepreneurship competiton

MINNEAPOLIS, Mn. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A University of Virginia student is spending the weekend in Minneapolis, learning about how to make money for his business.

Drew Lytle is participating in the 2019 Schulze Entrepreneurship Challenge and E-Fest at the University of St. Thomas.

He also has an opportunity to win a grand prize of $75,000 in the competition for his business, Lumastic.

Lumastic is an online learning platform, designed to help people explore their interests and discover their passion while connecting with other people.

Drew said he hopes to have the same luck in Minneapolis that the UVA basketball team had earlier this week.

"UVA winning the National Championship in Minneapolis is really a spark of inspiration for us all," said Lytle. "We're really trying to ride that high here in Minneapolis and rub off some of that good luck hopefully in the competition as well."

If he wins, he plans on using the money to run Lumastic for the next year, so he can take his business to the next level.

The competition takes place on Saturday afternoon.
