VibeFest unites Charlottesville community

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville community enjoyed an afternoon at VibeFest in IX Art Park on Saturday to learn about their neighbors.

VibeFest was all about unity as musicians and vendors filled the park to play music and share their culture with their neighbors.

Brandon Lee, one of the organizers of VibeFest, said the mission for the event is to spread love and positivity.

"We can be in the culture of being in our house in front of our television sets and not getting out to see each other for who we are," Lee said. "This is an opportunity to do that. You get to see your neighbors and people you might have not known do different things."

The event is part of Unity Days, a series of events uniting the community in healing for the anniversary of Aug. 12, 2017.
