(5) Virginia eases past Clemson at home

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- (5) Virginia cruised to a second straight home victory with a 6-1 win over Clemson on Sunday.

With the singles point in hand, senior Aswin Lizen and freshman William Woodall won their matches in straight sets to put the Cavaliers up 3-0. ITA 11th ranked Carl Söderlund clinched the match for the Wahoos winning the number one singles match 6-3, 6-3.

ITA 63rd ranked Brandon Nakashima and Gianni Ross also picked up singles wins for the cavaliers.

Virginia (14-3, 5-2 ACC) remains at home for a Friday match against Duke at 3 p.m.
