CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Ciaja Harbison hit a jumper with 12.3 seconds left to give St. Louis a 67-65 win over Virginia Sunday afternoon.
The Billikens led by as many as 12 in the first half, but Dominique Toussaint found Lisa Jablonowski under the basket for an easy layup to give the Cavaliers a 56-55 lead with five minutes left. That was the first lead of the game for the Cavaliers.
The next trip down the floor, Toussaint found freshman Erica Martinsen on the wing for one of her five three pointers of the game to stretch the lead to four with 4:11 to play.
That prompted a St. Louis timeout and the Billikens closed the game on a 12-6 run over the final 4:11 to pull out the win.
The Cavaliers went 0-2 in the Cavalier Classic, following Saturday's loss to Central Michigan.
Martinsen led the Cavaliers with 15 points, all coming on nine three-point attempts. Toussaint recorded a career-high 10 assists in the loss. The junior flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 10 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.
