Braves roll past Tom Sox

STAUNTON, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The Staunton Braves scored six runs in the third inning to roll past the Tom Sox 14-6 on Saturday night.

The Tom Sox started the game off with a 1-0 lead after an RBI-single from Thomas Francisco in the first inning. After the Braves tied it in the first, they took their first lead in the third off a Ryan McCarty RBI-double. Then Andrew Czech stepped up next to hit a three-run home run to put the Braves up 5-1.

With the win, the Braves moved past the Tom Sox for first in the Valley League South. The Tom Sox are back at home on Sunday to face New Market at 3 p.m.
