Cold shooting dooms Cavaliers against Radford

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Virginia shot just 14-57 from the field (24.5%) against Radford Saturday, the Highlanders led by 19 at halftime and cruised to a 57-44 win over the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers (4-6) missed 14 straight shots between the second and third periods and went 7:46 without a point, allowing Radford (4-3) to take a 21 point lead.

After Virginia took a 11-10 run with 2:08 left in the first quarter, the Highlanders closed the half on a 25-5 run to take control. The Cavaliers shot just 5-29 in the first half and scored four points in the second quarter.

Lisa Jablonowski recorded her first career double-double, scoring 11 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Jocelyn Willoughby -- 10 points, 10 rebounds -- also recorded a double-double for the Cavaliers.

Destinee Walker and Khiana Johnson combined for 29 points for Radford. Savanna Felgemacher added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Highlanders.
