Former 'Hoos set to begin NBA Summer League

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The NBA Summer League kicks off in Utah and Sacramento on July 1 with Kyle Guy and the Sacramento Kings up first among former Wahoos participating.

The Kings begin play on Monday against the Golden State Warriors at 8 p.m. in the California Classic, hosted by Sacramento. Guy is set to make his debut for the Kings after being selected in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Knicks and traded to the Kings.

The Vegas Summer League starts on Friday, July 5 with several other former Wahoos making their debuts with their new teams. The New York Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans highlight the first night playing at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN. Former UVA guard London Perrantes suiting up for the Pelicans after spending last season overseas.

The Suns will start play later that night at 11:30 p.m. against the Denver Nuggets, also on ESPN. Former UVA teammates Ty Jerome and Jack Salt will suit up together again in summer league action for the Suns.

Then De'Andre Hunter will make his debut with the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday as they face the Milwaukee Bucks at 5:00 p.m.

The Vegas NBA Summer League runs through July 15.
