Hall's latest watch list focused off the field

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Virginia cornerback Bryce Hall was named to another preseason watch list Thursday, this time for the the Wuerffel Trophy.

The Wuerffel Trophy, named after Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel, is annually given to a college football player standing out for their work in the community. Hall often volunteers with his church and the Boys and Girls Club in Charlottesville, as well as regular visits to the UVA Children's Hospital throughout the season.

Hall was previously named to the Thorpe Award, Bednarik Award, Nagurski Trophy and Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch Lists. The senior cornerback is also Virginia's lone player on the preseason All-ACC football team.

Hall is coming off a season where he earned All-ACC and All-American honors, while leading the nation with 22 passes broken up.

The Wuerffel Trophy winner will be announced December 10th in New York City with the presentation later in February.
