BLACKSBURG, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Virginia Tech's hot shooting helps avenge earlier loss with 63-45 win over Virginia in the Commonwealth Clash.
The Hokies started the game with three straight three-pointers to open on a 9-0 run. The Cavaliers would bounce back with a Khyasia Caldwell layup early in the second quarter giving them their only lead of the night at 21-20. Virginia Tech would respond with back-to-back baskets and end the half on another 9-0 run to take the lead for good.
The Wahoos were lead by Jocelyn Willoughby with 15 points and eight rebounds. The Hokies were paced by Taylor Emery with a game-high 19 points and Regan Magarity with 18 points and 17 boards.
Virginia closes the regular season on Sunday at (4) Notre Dame with tipoff set for 12:30 p.m.
