'Hoos and FSU forced to postpone Friday's game

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- For the fourth time in seven ACC weekends this spring, weather has forced alterations to the Virginia baseball team's schedule.

Friday's threat of severe storms has forced UVA and Florida State to postpone the second game of their three-game ACC series at Disharoon Park. The two teams will now wrap up the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, with the first game set to start at noon.

The Seminoles beat UVA 14-2 in Thursday's series opener.

Weather issues have forced the Wahoos to play five doubleheaders already this season, including three against ACC opponents. UVA has swept two of those previous twin bills -- against Villanova back in February, and at Notre Dame two weekends ago. The Cavaliers have been swept twice -- at Duke in March, and at home by Miami last Saturday -- and split an early March non-conference doubleheader with Seton Hall.
