CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Virginia trailed by as many as 19 points in the second half to Virginia Tech, but the Cavaliers would comeback to win 62-58 to notch Tina Thompson's first ACC win.
After coming back to tie the game at 56-56, Dominique Toussaint got a layup to go that put the Cavaliers in front for good.
Toussaint led the way with 19 points, while Virginia also got double-figure contributions from Bri Tinsley, 15 points, and Jocelyn Willoughby, 10 points. The Hokies' Taylor Emery lead all scorers with 26 points.
Center Felicia Aiyeotan also played in her first game since missing 11 games with a right knee injury. She finished with 2 points in nine minutes played.
Virginia will be back at John Paul Jones Arena on Sunday to host (8) North Carolina State.
