CHAPEL HILL, NC (CBS19 SPORTS) -- North Carolina put four players in double figures and the Tar Heels closed the game on a 16-5 run as Virginia's two-game win streak was snapped 70-53 Sunday in Chapel Hill.
Jocelyn WIlloughby recorded her third straight double-double for the Cavaliers (16 points, 10 rebounds) to lead three players in double figures. Erica Martinsen scored 13 and Dominique Toussaint added 10.
After the Tar Heels opened the game on a 16-9 run, Martinsen hit two three pointers in an 8-0 run to give the Cavaliers a 20-19 lead. That was the only lead of the day for Virginia.
Paris Kea scored a game-high 16 points for North Carolina. Taylor Koenen and Janielle Bailey both added 14 and Shayla Bennett scored 10 for North Carolina.
Virginia returns to JPJ Thursday night to host Louisville.
