Hunter, Guy pick up All-American honors

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- De'Andre Hunter was named a second-team All-American and Kyle Guy picked up third-team honors by the NABC Tuesday.

Hunter leads the Cavaliers with 15.2 points per game, including a game-high 23 points in Virginia's opening round win over Gardner-Webb Friday afternoon. The ACC's defensive player of the year was an All-ACC first team selection this season.

Guy has scored 20 or more points eight times this season and is second on the team, scoring 15.1 points per game. Guy was also an All-ACC first team selection this season.

The ACC picked up four total All-American nominations according to the NABC. Duke's Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett were both first-team selections. Gonzaga's Rui Hachimura, Murray State's Ja Morant and Tennessee's Grant Williams were also named to the NABC first-team.

Virginia plays Oregon in the NCAA Sweet 16 Thursday in Louisville.
