Miller's Wagner leads all-state Mavericks

CROZET, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- For the third year in a row, Miller baseball is a state champion, has the state player and coach of the year. For the first time, the player and coach of the year are in the same family.

Jeremy Wagner was named the VISAA Division II state player of the year Tuesday. He joins Ethan Murray and Adam Hackenburg as Mavericks to be named the top player in the last three years.

Wagner's father, Billy Wagner was named VISAA Division II state coach of the year for the third year in a row.

Joining the Wagner's earning all state honors were Jack Carey, Ethan Chenault and Garrett Payne, all named first-team all-state Tuesday.
