CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Brianna Tinsley is reportedly taking her basketball talents across Afton Mountain for the remainder of her college career.
Tinsley is transferring to James Madison, according to a report on Wednesday in the Harrisonburg Daily News Record. Tinsley, a Madison County native and graduate of St. Anne's-Belfield School, played her first two college seasons at Virginia.
Tinsley has appeared in 64 games with 55 starts the past two seasons for the Wahoos. As a sophomore in 2018-19, Tinsley finished third on the team in scoring (7.6 ppg) and second in 3-pointers made with 44, but shot just 26.8 percent from the floor.
Tinsley was originally committed to the Dukes while at STAB, but flipped her commitment to UVA when JMU coach Kenny Brooks left the school in 2016 to take the Virginia Tech job.
