CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (NEWSPLEX) -- The girls basketball program at St. Anne's-Belfield School has produced another Division I college commitment.
STAB rising senior guard Jayla Davis announced Monday on Twitter that she has plans to play collegiately at Sacred Heart University.
"I am verbally committing to Sacred Heart University to play Division 1 basketball which as always been a dresm," Davis wrote as part of her post on Twitter.
Davis has helped the Saints reach the VISAA state semifinals in each of the past two seasons. According to MaxPreps.com, Davis averaged 9.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game last season.
Sacred Heart is coming off a 20-13 season in 2015-16, and a run to the title game of the NEC conference tournament. The Pioneers lost at Drake in the opening round of the WNIT.
