CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- After leading Virginia to their first ACC Championship since 2010, Lars Tiffany was named the ACC Coach of the Year on Friday.
In his third season with the Wahoos, Tiffany lead the team to a 13-3 record and an ACC best 3-1 record in conference play. The Cavaliers also reached their highest NCAA Tournament seeding with the No. 3 seed since being the No. 1 seed in 2010.
Tiffany makes it three consecutive Virginia coaches to win the award along with Jim Adams and Dom Starsia. Tiffany also previously won Ivy League Coach of the Year at Brown in 2015 and 2016.
